How To Overcome 3 Common Exercise Excuses

Even though you know that you need to exercise to shed weight and stay fit and healthy, you still discover that you still find it hard to actually get up and start exercising; most times you will find yourself succumbing to different excuses which stop you from actually exercising.
In this article we shall be looking at the common exercises excuses that you will likely confront, and how you are going to overcome them. These common exercise excuses include the following:
Excuse number one- "I cannot find time to exercise"
This is a very funny excuse because even though we complain that we don't have enough time to exercise, we still spend hours in front of the television set to watch our favourite programmes. If you can turn off your television set you will find time to exercise.
However, for some of us it is the nature of our jobs that does not allow us to exercise; if you have the kind of job that makes you spend most of your time in a formal office environment, you should try to find how you can exercise even while you at work.
Therefore, if you work in a formal environment you can close the door to your office and walk or skip for about 10- 20 minutes every day; you can also make use of the stair case instead of the elevator to increase the number of steps that you take every day.
According to the Surgeon General, we should get at least 150 minutes of aerobic activity every week to stay fit and healthy; this level of weekly activity can be broken down into 20 minutes of daily exercise.
The truth of the matter is that people that find time to exercise to remain fit do not have more time at their disposal than people that don't exercise; they have just made their exercise a top priory and the truth is that we will all find time to do those things we really consider to be very important to us.
Excuse number two- "I do not have enough strength"
Most people complain that they are usually too tired to exercise instead of exercising to increase their level of energy. When you start to exercise, the rate of flow of blood in your body increases and your brain releases a lot of endorphins into your body which also help to elevate your mood and make you feel excited.
Excuse number three- "My kids do not give me enough breathing space"
If your kids do not give you enough time to spend on your exercises, you should endeavour to take your kids with you when you want to go for your exercises. You can work around the play ground while your children are swinging; you can also walk your kids to school instead of driving them to school.
You can also go biking with your kids; you can play badminton with your family; you can walk around the neighbourhood with your kids, and you can participate in active video games like dance dance revolution, or wii sport, or wii fit with your kids.
