A powerful technique to help you build a super-strong weight loss mind-set

In my previous article I looked at the importance of mind-set for weight loss. We discussed how your current subconscious programming really determines your weight and if you want to lose weight permanently then you need to start working at the source of the problem.

So how exactly can you achieve this?

Well, one of the best techniques that I have come across for long term weight loss is known as 'self-talk'. This may well be something that you have heard of before and it can have a profoundly positive impact on your mind-set, and therefore your weight, when usd properly. Lets take a look at how we can use this technique for lasting weight loss success.

As I talked about in the my previous article, programs can come from all sorts of sources including what you say, both out loud and internally to yourself. So when you keep saying 'i'll never lose weight' or 'diets don't work for me' this is going to gradually become reality. What self talk does is help you to change your programs by making sure you deliver positive ones to your subconscious, rather than negative ones.

So, what you need to do first of all is appraise your current self talk. To do this you have to simply note down everything that you say to yourself about your weight, dieting, and exercise. So, for example, if you hear you saying in your head 'this diet will never work', note that down. Do this for 3 days, noting down everything and a picture will appear.

After 3 days, evaluate what you've written down. Is this the sort of programming that you want to be logging into your subconscious, the driving force behind everything you do? If you answer no to that question, and the majority will, then you're going to need to do something about it.

So, first of all, take every phrase you have written down and turn it around. So for example the phrase, 'this diet will never work' will become 'this diet will definitely work'. Do that with all of your phrases and then you'll be looking upon the sorts of positive messages that will want to be programming into your internal hard drive or subconscious.

Now read these positive phrases every morning. Read them in the mirror, out loud, and make eye contact. Do this for several weeks and you'll start to see some changes. Then you can start to edit your internal dialogue and self talk as you say it. This is a long term technique that can yield amazing rewards when done well.

Use this technique regularly and you will see amazing changes to your mind-set. This will allow you to build that super strong foundation for permanent weight loss success.
